[seven_columns]The custom-designed engagement ring is centered by a round old European-cut diamond weighing approximately 1.75 ct. set into the tapered collet mounting and is completed by flat sided concave band.
Scope of Design: The client brought a number of pieces from her fiancé’s family that contained various sized diamonds. Upon inspection, we settled on one of the diamonds from a brooch.
The second phase involved designing a ring that matched the client’s lifestyle. She was a schoolteacher working with young children, so she needed a ring that would fit close to the hand, without sharp edges or prongs, and that did not draw a great deal of attention to itself.
